Mike Castellana, won the first-ever Four-Wide Pro Mod final when he drove the Frank Manzo-tuned Al Anabi Performance Camaro to a 5.807 in the final quad coming from second place in qualifying with his run of 5.787 at 249.16 at the NHRA Four wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway last weekend. This is the first win of the season for Castellana and his second final round appearance.
“I’ll tell ya, it was awesome,” Castellana said to competition plus. “First time coming out here, you’re a little worried about how to drive and what’s going to happen. But when you got a team like I do, it just makes everything go real smooth."
Castellana narrowly edged Johnathan Gray, who was driving Rickie Smith’s Vallem Camaro. Gray finished second with a 5.826 in his nitrous oxide-equipped entry. The two semifinal finishers were the turbocharged entries of Troy Coughlin and Michael Biehle II, who fouled by three-thousandths.
