I've just received a big fat bonus so I'm going to start remodeling my R25. For starters, I'll load it onto a lorry, send it somewhere I've never been, pay them to do things I don't understand, get it back and rave about it. Obviously I'd alter my spec list to reflect all the major components used.
Many people's idea of a car project has always had a sad narrative that sounds just like that(on the top). But Not for Tariq Al Musa! At least his has a fairy tale of a contractor walking with his wife in the meadow of a 1973 Winter. The skyline,looking upon them with jilted,wet and imploring eyes! Begging!

It is not every day you come across a car like this,you can take that to any car show in the world! This 1973 V6 Nissan GT-R Skyline was sitting calmly at the Qatar Motor Show presented by
Tariq Al Musa when we quickly spotted it.
Now
Tariq Al Musa, for a few of you who are not well conversant with street cars and super cars in Qatar, is the biggest car collector we have know in the past years,with passion for collecting cars here and there. From Lambos to short nose,his private collection is a silent cluster and goldmine of a museum. But what we didn't know until today,was this quiet project from his private garage(homemade).

- Siamo venuti, abbiamo visto e conquistati!
Never before had i seen a classic Skyline in such a perfect condition,but like every time i spot the likes of these cars,i begin to doubt their authenticity. Not until i heard the story of the President of Tokyo Salon who autographed the dash board of this beautiful Nissan GT-R Skyline when they won the best custom GT-R classic in the Custom Show Emirates in Abu Dhabi. Winning at such a car tough region,really is an achievement in itself. Abu Dhabi and the entire GCC region have great car builds that will leave you wetting and tearing your eyes,winning there,was a milestone for this home built classic car.
this is the most beautiful Nissan GT-R Skyline i have ever seen - remarkes the President of Tokyo Salon as he autographed this silent beast !
It took 9 months to single-handedly revamp this beautiful '73 Skyline GT-R working day and night in his home garage.A 420hp RB25 V6 was decided upon having a good potential (500+ on stock internals) . When the RB25 sat in calmly in its space a single turbo that fit the customized carbon fiber hood was carefully thrown in.

A long nose exhaust ran underneath the chassis and sneaked its head near the rare tire. A careful color was decided upon. They ripped off its black color,painted it with this rare form of blue. The interior was ton to pieces and thrown away fitted with customized kirkey racing seats (for pilot and passenger) that fit nice and easy just in front of the roll cage that had enough space to carry two bottles of NOS!

What was the highlight our discovery was the dashboard. At a closer look we found that '73 GT-R Skyline gauges do not look anything close to what was hiding on plane sight here.
Al Musa threw a few dollars and a custom gauges auto-meter was thrown in,a similarity with the one in Vin Deisel's Fast 8 1970 Dodge Charger. Sparco steering wheel was the ultimate choice for this street/race build designed to improve grip and comfort for driving precision.

Belts from G-Force racing gear was strapped on the kirkey seat.And when the work was almost finished,the remaining carbon fiber housed the side mirror protruding from the side of the hood.

- The Happy Endings to the Skyline
Quite surprised that it only took him 9 months,burning midnight fuel to revamp this GT-R Skyline!
When the work was finished,the car was flown straight out of garage to the 2017 Custom Show Emirates where he won 1st place in GT-R Classic Custom Car Category.
